چکیده
ABSTRACT: Objective: To analyze cancer-specific mortality (CSM) and other-cause (OCM) among patients with prostate cancer that initiated treatment in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), between 2002 2010, Brazil. Methods: Retrospective observational study used National Oncological Database, which was developed by record-linkage techniques to integrate data from SUS Information Systems, namely: Outpatient (SIA-SUS), Hospital (SIH-SUS), Mortality (SIM-SUS). Cancer-specific survival probabilities were estimated time elapsed date of first until patients’ deaths or end study, 2015. The Fine-Gray model for competing risk estimate factors associated death. Results: Of 112,856 studied patients, average age 70.5 years, 21% died due cancer, 25% other causes. Specific 160 months 75%, 67%. For CSM, main death were: stage IV (AHR = 2.91; 95%CI 2.73 - 3.11), systemic 2.10; 2.00 2.22), combined surgery 2.30, 2.18 2.42). As OCM, comorbidities. Conclusion: analyzed older mainly causes, probably presence comorbidities tumor.

However, cancer survival data to inform interventions for early detection, diagnosis and treatment are lacking. METHODS Cancer survival analysis was conducted on 842 cancer patients registered and ...

Within the Danish 'Diet, Cancer and Health' cohort, we aimed to investigate the association between prediagnostic fish intake (total, lean, fatty) and (a) incidence of total and high-grade prostate cancer and (b) the risk of all-cause and prostate cancer-specific mortality among men with prostate cancer. Among 27 178 men, 1690 prostate cancer cases were identified through 2012. Of these, 1042 h...
